Our simple, stress-free video production process explained.

I'm regularly asked how our video production process works at Embrace Video.

Put simply, we're passionate about making the whole experience as straightforward and as stress-free as possible.

We have five clear stages which we apply to all of our projects:

🎯 1. Strategy

🗒 2. Planning

🎥 3. Filming

🎞 4. Editing

💻 5. Distribution

1. Strategy

We begin by chatting through your specific goals and objectives. Who do you need to attract, what does your video need to do, and where will it be shown?

You'll be given a full proposal detailing how we'll structure your video, how it will be filmed and edited, and what the cost will be.

We often give our clients three different options, each with a different cost. This means you can decide on the approach that works best for your objectives and your budget.

2. Planning

Next, we work with you to create a storyboard and script.

A bit like an architect's blue print, our planning documents show you exactly how we'll film your video before we even pick up the camera. We create a full shooting schedule so you can see what we'll film, where and when.

We'll ask you to sign off the plan once you and your team are completely happy with our approach.

3. Filming

Our favourite part of the production process is the filming. Grabbing the camera, capturing all of the shots we need, and interviewing all of the contributors.

But we know that for many people, the thought of being filmed can feel rather daunting. Luckily, we're experts in helping you to look comfortable and confident on camera.

Our Managing Director, Michael Wood is a former BBC and ITV television director with over 13 years' experience working on live TV programmes and corporate video productions. He's extremely patient and adept at guiding people through the filming process. No rabbits in the headlights here!

4. Editing

After we've finished the shoot, we begin editing.

This is where we craft all of the footage into your finished masterpiece. We'll add transitions, graphics, animations, music and voiceovers to bring your vision to life.

We'll send you a preview version of the first edit so that you can review it and let us know if you need any changes.

Of course the finished video should resemble the initial storyboard and script we put together for you, so there shouldn't be any unexpected surprises. However, all of our quotations include a small amount of edit revision time, allowing us to make minor amendments if required.

5. Distribution

Once you're happy with the finished video we'll send you all of the web-ready files you need, so you'll be able to get it online as soon as possible.

We'll send you the video itself, thumbnail images, and caption files (subtitles) which you can upload to improve your video's accessibility.

We're always very happy to help you get the best out of your finished film, so let us know if you need any help uploading your video or distributing it to your target audience.
