Beacon Family Services

Helping a therapeutic family support agency learn how to create professional-looking smartphone videos.

The brief.

Beacon Family Services is a therapeutic family support agency based in the West Midlands.

They help build relationships to improve mental health outcomes for children and families.

I was asked to help their talented team learn how to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to tell their stories with video.

The solution.

Members of Beacon Family Services' team were encouraged to consider their primary target audience, think about where those people lived online, and shown how to build a successful video strategy,

I taught the team how to film high quality videos and capture great-sounding audio using their smartphones and inexpensive accessories.

The delegates then learned how to use simple smartphone editing apps. They were shown how to import clips, edit footage together, add music, design captions and export their finished films to the web.
"We had such a great day with you. The team is buzzing with ideas of how we can tell the stories about how we help families".
